50 CENT ON WILEY: "I'D BEAT HIS ASS" FOR NOT SHOWING UP TO VIDEO SHOOTS

50 CENT ON WILEY: "I'D BEAT HIS ASS" FOR NOT SHOWING UP TO VIDEO SHOOTS

50 Cent talks frankly to BBC Radio 1Xtra’s MistaJam about TIDAL, today’s industry and Wiley. Listen above.

50 Cent speaks frankly on Jay Z’s streaming service TIDAL. Even though he believes it will be a success, he says if it came out without Jay Z’s association, people wouldn’t be talking about it. He comments that he doesn’t see anything exclusive in it as the artists involved are unable to do anything exclusively due to being signed to major record labels.

Also, 50 Cent talks about how the public loves tragedy and the marketing worth of situations such as Britney Spears‘s public meltdown resulting in her shaving her head and Caitlyn Jenner’s transition. On Caitlyn Jenner he comments –“I couldn’t care less about it.” “It’s just so strange like at 65 for you to make that change”.

He then talks about working with Jeremih and how he didn’t show up for a video shoot. When MistaJam talks about Wiley being dropped by record labels several times for the same issue, 50 says if Wiley was signed to his label, he’d ‘beat his ass’ for not showing up. 50 also said he wants to meet Wiley to find out the reason why.  50 Cent talks comparisons in music. He says it would be wrong to compare him to Eminem or even compare Eminem to Jay Z, and says the biggest musical deal Jay Z did was his wife Beyonce.
