WHICH ARTIST HAS HAD THE BEST YEAR FOR GRIME IN 2015?

Best Year in Grime 2015?

There has been a lot of hits, disses and projects dropped in 2015 but who's had the most successful year so far in the Grime genre?

Chip?
Chip returned to the scene with his infamous Fire In The Booth freestyle with Charlie Sloth and sent shots at Tinie Tempah. At the time, it backfired as he received shots from almost every active Grime artist. He bounced back though with heavy ammunition towards Bugzy Malone, his "Light Work EP" was definitely a highlight for 2015.

Bugzy Malone?
Chip's arch nemesis had everybody rooting for him after Charlie Sloth had him on Fire In The Booth but it seems fans have turned against him. However, his EP "Walk With Me" was favoured by many (including us) and helped him win a Rated award for Best Breakthrough Act, Best Project. The performed better than Chip's "Believe & Achieve Episode 1" and peaked number 2 on the UK iTunes Album Chart.

Skepta?
Skepta is breaking through barrier to the USA and he's representing Grime as good as you can get. The Boy Better Know MC released "Shutdown" this year, toured the US, got the cosign from Drake and is rumoured to even be signed to OVO.

JME?
Skepta's brother has shown how to be a successful independent artist with the release of his album ,"Integrity>", and the 48 Hour Mixtape with Noisey where he showed the recording process for both! "Man Don't Care" featuring Giggs is one of the anthems of the year and he's also been a go-to artist for features, after featured on songs with Chip, KSI and more.

Jammer?
Jammer deserves a mention this year for the success of Lord Of The Mics 7, the 10 year anniversary, and the all-star line up of the single "Royal Rumble" with the Newham Generals, Lethal B and more. Not to mention the LOTM 7 album was released this year.

Stormzy?
What hasn't Stormzy done in 2015? "Shut Up" and "Know Me From" are certainly still ringing off during a rave and the South London MC has won several awards, including a BET award for Best International Act and 2 MOBO's for Best Grime Act and Best Male Artist.

So which artist do you think had the most successful year of 2015? Any names we missed out?
